The two colour-coded pockets keep the new separate from the eww. Store clean damp BARE Cloths in one pocket and used cloths in the other.

Like most bags, it is not designed for submersion.

Wear it crossbody, use the top handle, clip it to a stroller, backpack or tote, or carry it on its own. Choose the style that fits the moment.

Yes. For everyday use, pull the inner pockets inside out and rinse or hand wash as needed. This keeps the organic cotton outer dry, ready to use again and looking good for longer.

Outside dirty? No problem. Turn the dirty pocket inside out and machine wash the whole bag at up to 40°C.

Air dry only.

Yes. Start each day with fresh cloths and fresh water — just like a reusable water bottle. If carrying dry cloths, simply add water when needed.

Because waterproofing is non-negotiable. We use organic cotton wherever possible and food-grade TPU where it performs a job natural fibres simply can't.

Double-wall food-grade stainless steel with a Portuguese cork lid.

Food-grade stainless steel keeps water pure and free from chemicals. Double-wall construction with the cork lid keeps cloths cosy. Every material chosen for a reason.

Cork is a natural, sustainable material that's gentle to touch and naturally antimicrobial. Portuguese cork specifically is considered the finest in the world — harvested from cork oak bark without harming the tree. It keeps the bowl covered, the cloths cosy and looks beautiful doing it. No plastic lids here.

Dampen cloths with warm water while your baby is sleeping, place in the bowl, cover with the lid. Cosy and ready when your baby needs a change.

Bowl: hand wash only. Not suitable for microwave use.
Cork lid: wipe clean.

Machine wash 40°C with your regular laundry. Use the laundry bag or let them roam free in the machine — both work. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. No bleach. Wash dark colours separately.

A little. Your cloths will naturally rumple and shrink after the first wash — this is exactly what's supposed to happen. It's what gives them that classic muslin texture and style.

You can, but why would you? The natural rumpled texture of muslin is part of their charm. They're meant to be soft and lived-in, not crisp and perfect. Save yourself the time.

Years. Treat them well and they'll serve your whole family.

Most will come out in a normal 40°C wash. For stubborn marks, a couple of things worth trying:

Sunlight — UV rays naturally break down stain molecules. Hang damp cloths in direct sunlight for 2–6 hours. For those of you in the UK, like us, we know Great Britain has NOT cornered the market on sunlight — but worth a try when it appears.

White vinegar — soak in equal parts white vinegar and water for 30 minutes before washing, or add half a cup to the rinse cycle.

If all else fails and stains linger, well, life's messy and stains happen. Evidence of brilliant adventures along the way. If they're too stained to carry in public, repurpose them for home cleaning instead. You'll have beautiful dust rags and cleaning cloths.

We looked at bamboo, conventional cotton and microfibre before choosing GOTS certified organic cotton muslin. It met every requirement: soft on delicate skin, durable enough for everyday life and produced to one of the highest textile standards in the world. Since these are personal baby care products, opened, used or washed items cannot be returned. This protects you and every BARE customer.
